NCAA March Madness

This year March Madness has every fan fainting. The games have been close, stressful, and sometimes painful.

This year’s Championship was tight. Shot followed shot, and score followed score. The shadow of 2016 for North Carolina is now gone. They took the win over Gonzaga ,71-65. They were extra hyped because of last year’s devastating loss. They didn’t want to be disappointed and devastated from a loss like they were in last year’s March Madness Championship. In that championship, North Carolina lost to Villanova by a game winning shot which made the game: 77-74 final.

North Carolina went into the championship game knowing what needed to be done. They knew what was expected. They learned from last years mistakes. They would not have another disappointing game winning shot against them in this year’s game.

North Carolina found redemption with their win in the Championship. “I wanted to see this confetti fall on us,” Joel Berry II said when it was over Monday night. North Carolina had finally pushed past Gonzaga, 71-65, to win the national championship it had so famously missed last April. “We made it happen,” said Nate Britt.

The MVP for the game was Joel Berry ll. He scored twenty-two points, had three rebounds, and six assists. He played a major role in the game, and was one of the reasons they won.

North Carolina has been in a total of forty eight championship games since 1910. Counting this Championship win, North Carolina has six total championship wins.
